Reduces voltage to regulatory levels

Some installations may be electrified due to radio frequency fields emitted by telecommunication centres, radar and radio equipment.
The waves they emit are coupled to the conductive parts, raising the potential of the structure to higher than permitted levels.

In some cases, such as the NAGOYA Gantry Crane, 900 and 1200 V have been measured, which are highly dangerous values for workers. The installation of the DDCE as an electromagnetic shield (not in the highest part as it would be when used for lightning protection) returns the voltage to optimal and acceptable values for occupational safety.
